Spring in Glacier National Park
April in Glacier is the closed season. The gate to the entrance is locked to cars, but that doesn't mean the park is closed! Come with us on this exceptional and private tour of Glacier, when the snow-capped peaks reach down into the valleys below. Our guide Bryson is from the area, and has spent years tracking down the best photography routes in Glacier. Come! Have a national park to yourself!
Learn from a passionate professional
Our photographers are both passionate and knowledgeable about photography and the area. We take you to all the good spots and let you enjoy the journey along the way. We capture as many sunrises and sunsets as weather and the small group will allow, and after shooting, we return to the hotel for a couple post-editing tutorials.
Group size & Options
Not everyone runs at the same pace, and our tours are built to accommodate everyone. We keep group sizes small, so everyone will have some one on one time with the pro. We also will offer different options for everyone. Perhaps someone wants to work on astrophotography late at night, maybe someone else really wants sunrises. We try to be as flexible as possible, so you don't feel like you have to do everything, but you can still get as most out of the experience as you want.
Tour Price $2,000/person
Join us for a single supplement for $400. A single supplement is one full day of activities meeting in the town we will be in. It does not include room or board, but does include any transport during the day after your arrival in the town. We can help arrange your transport to the town for an additional price
Tour Dates
Apr 16 - 20, 2018
Day 1
The first day we pick you up the airport in Missoula or Kalispell and take you to your hotel to drop off your things and rest for the next day. We go out and enjoy a real Montana meal for the night and take some pictures in downtown Whitefish.
Day 2
The second day we get our bikes and head into the park. From the entrace we start our trip into the park. We'll bike in to Avalanche Creek and hike the trail up to the falls and take snow shoes up to the lake above. Eventually, we'll head back to the car and back to the hotel.
Day 3
We wake up past East Glacier and Two Medicine to St. Mary's. From there we'll check into the hotel and take our bikes up the long road of St. Mary's. Depending on how much snow there is, we'll see how far up the hill we make it.
Day 4
We wake up and drive over to Many Glacier and bike in with our snowshoes and hike in to one of the many lakes around the area.
Day 5
We check out of the hotel and take you back to the airport in Kalispell or Missoula and say goodbye.
Additional Info
This trip is a little more challenging than the other tours. The biking trails will be nice trails but can be steep at times. The paths will be muddy and sometimes snow packed and we'll need to use snowshoes, and of course, there are bears to watch out for in Glacier, but we'll have lots of bear spray to be as careful as we can be, but the rewards of this trip are many!
