Venetian Carnival
Want in to a private masquerade ball? Want to find the best spot photographing the night festivities of masked strangers wandering the gorgeous streets of Venice in this strange and beautiful season.
Learn from a passionate professional
Our photographers are both passionate and knowledgeable about photography and the area. We take you to all the good spots and let you enjoy the journey along the way. We capture as many sunrises and sunsets as weather and the small group will allow, and after shooting, we return to the hotel for a couple post-editing tutorials.
Group size & Options
Not everyone runs at the same pace, and our tours are built to accommodate everyone. We keep group sizes small, so everyone will have some one on one time with the pro. We also will offer different options for everyone. Perhaps someone wants to work on astrophotography late at night, maybe someone else really wants sunrises. We try to be as flexible as possible, so you don't feel like you have to do everything, but you can still get as most out of the experience as you want.
Tour Price $2,500/person or

Tour Dates
Jan 26 - 30, 2018
Feb 8 - 12, 2018
Day 1
Unfortunately, because of Venice's transport restrictions. We will have to meet you at the hotel in Venice. From there, we will provide you with your costumes if you wanted them, and we will prepare for the first night's festivals. The first tour in January is heavy with festivities, the second one is heavy with Masquerade balls, so make sure to pick the one that best suits your wants.
Day 2
The second day we have a lovely day planned on enjoying downtown Venice. Most of the day will be spent photographing the canals, but at night, we will focus on the costumes.
Day 3
We spend another fabulous day wandering around the carnival, and we have a group session planned for taking a nice gondola ride around sunset.
Day 4
Our final day, we enjoy the grand processions, or if it is the February tour, most of the day will be spent preparing for the Grand Ball and the experience of a lifetime.
Day 5
We checkout in the morning and say goodbye at the hotel.
Additional Info
It is almost a requirement to wear a costume around Venice Carnival, but it can be pretty cumbersome on photographers, so we'll make sure to get some costume time and some without so that you can both be in the event and taking wonderful pictures of it.
