Christmas in Alsace, the Capitol of Christmas

Starting in Strasbourg, the Capitol of Christmas, we make our photographic journey through the best Christmas markets in Alsace. Winding our way through Colmar, Mulhouse, and the quaint but beautiful Egusheim, Kaysersberg, and the medieval market of Ribeauville and one of the most beautiful villages in France - Riquewihr.

Learn from a passionate professional

Our photographers are both passionate and knowledgeable about photography and the area. We take you to all the good spots and let you enjoy the journey along the way. We capture as many sunrises and sunsets as weather and the small group will allow, and after shooting, we return to the hotel for a couple post-editing tutorials.

Group size & Options

Not everyone runs at the same pace, and our tours are built to accommodate everyone. We keep group sizes small, so everyone will have some one on one time with the pro. We also will offer different options for everyone. Perhaps someone wants to work on astrophotography late at night, maybe someone else really wants sunrises. We try to be as flexible as possible, so you don't feel like you have to do everything, but you can still get as most out of the experience as you want.

Tour Price $3,100/person

Join us for a single supplement for $400. A single supplement is one full day of activities meeting in the town we will be in. It does not include room or board, but does include any transport during the day after your arrival in the town. We can help arrange your transport to the town for an additional price

Tour Dates

Dec 9-15, 2017

Day 1

The first day we pick you up at the train station in Strasbourg and take you to the hotel. We then relax a little and get warm before heading out to the Christmas market in Strasbourg. During the day, it will be more enjoying the atmosphere than a photography workshop. At night, howerever, we'll come out and practice capturing the beautiful lights throughout Alsace.

Day 2

We head out to drop off our things at the hotel in Riquewihr - one of the most beautiful villages in France. We then go to nearby Ribeauville to see the medieval Christmas market and then head back to Riquewihr to enjoy the night market.

Day 3

The next day we head into one of the oldest and most famous markets in the world at Colmar. Here we'll walk the beautiful canaled streets, and capture the beautiful lights of Christmas with a break in the middle of the day for a post-processing workshop.

Day 4

We wake up early to go to the two quaint but amazing markets of Egusheim and Kaysersberg. Come get lost photographing Egusheim - the beautiful, round village. And Kaysersberg, one of the prime markets in the region. We'll come back before evening to rest in the hotel and do a post-processing workshop. and head back out at night to wherever you liked the most.

Day 5

We head south to the next best market on the list in Mulhouse. Come enjoy the wines and the great cheese at this large authentic Christmas market.

Day 6

We head back up north to Strasbourg to finish at the Capital of Christmas. It's many markets and beautiful river and streets will make you happy we came back for a second time.

Day 7

We check out of the hotel in the morning and take you to the train station and say goodbye.

Additional Info

This Christmas markets can get really cold! Make sure to bring warm clothes including gloves, hats, scarves, and extra pairs of wool socks!

Arrival

You will arrive in Strasbourg at the train station, and we'll pick you up and take you to the hotel.

Departure

After checkout from the hotel in Strasbourg, we'll take you back to the train station.

Accommodations

We will stay at three and four star hotels in Strasbourg, Riquewihr, Colmar, and Mulhouse.

Meals

Meals will be provided for you and will consist of breakfast lunch and dinner. If you have any health concerns or diet restrictions please let us know beforehand, so we can accommodate you the best that we can.
