Summer in Glacier National Park
Glacier National Park. An experience like no other. Come to what was termed "the Crown of the Continent." Whether you're searching for glaciers, the vaunted bear grass, some of the prettiest scenery you'll ever see, or an actual bear, Glacier has it all. With our years of experience in the park, we've planned an itinerary to some of the most breathtaking places, and you can be assured with our experience that we'll be taking all the precautions we can to keep you safe from the wildlife.
Learn from a passionate professional
Our photographers are both passionate and knowledgeable about photography and the area. We take you to all the good spots and let you enjoy the journey along the way. We capture as many sunrises and sunsets as weather and the small group will allow, and after shooting, we return to the hotel for a couple post-editing tutorials.
Group size & Options
Not everyone runs at the same pace, and our tours are built to accommodate everyone. We keep group sizes small, so everyone will have some one on one time with the pro. We also will offer different options for everyone. Perhaps someone wants to work on astrophotography late at night, maybe someone else really wants sunrises. We try to be as flexible as possible, so you don't feel like you have to do everything, but you can still get as most out of the experience as you want.
Tour Price $2,500/person
Join us for a single supplement for $400. A single supplement is one full day of activities meeting in the town we will be in. It does not include room or board, but does include any transport during the day after your arrival in the town. We can help arrange your transport to the town for an additional price
Tour Dates
Jul 3 - 7, 2018
Day 1
The first day we pick you up the airport in Missoula or Kalispell and take you to your hotel in the park to drop off your things and enjoy the rest of the evening on Lake McDonald.
Day 2
The second day we head to Avalanche Creek to capture the early morning blue of the creek. We'll then drive up to the summit to Logan Pass, where we'll hike in to Hidden Lake and all the way down if the trail isn't closed. From there we'll take some beautiful sunset pictures and capture the goats and rams of the mountain. Then we'll drive to the other hotel in St. Mary's.
Day 3
We wake up and head out to St. Mary's lake for sunrise. We also take some time photographing the beautiful bear grass in the surrounding countryside and do a short hike to St. Mary's Falls. We then head over to the Many Glacier Area and relax around the lakes and maybe do a longer hike if someone wants to some of the mountain lakes.
Day 4
We catch the sunrise at Many Glacier before heading south to East Glacier and Two Medicine. This area is one of the most recently struck by a fire and now July catches it covered in wildflowers.
Day 5
We check out of the hotel and take you back to Kalispell and say goodbye.
Additional Info
All of the hikes on the journey are relatively easy walks, with well groomed trails, hikes under 4 miles, and elevation gains of less than 1,000 ft at a time.
